Power-Ups

Power-Ups guide

Power-ups change the pace of a round more than almost anything else. Some improve control, some boost raw score value, and some help you stretch a good run further.

The best use of a power-up depends on the state of your round. Strong players treat boosts as tools, not automatic rewards.

Direct scoring boosts

x2 Score

Doubles the value of good scoring windows. It is strongest when you already have target control and a live combo.

Gold

Temporarily upgrades your throws into higher-value tomato hits. Gold is especially good when you are already landing centered shots.

Control and tempo boosts

Slow

Slows target movement and gives you more time to read spacing. Great for combo recovery and for setting up cleaner bonus hits.

Freeze

Briefly locks targets down so you can line up safer, high-quality shots. This is one of the best power-ups for protecting a good run.

Support boosts

Multi

Adds extra projectiles and can create more contact during crowded moments, but it is not a substitute for good aim.

Combo Saver

Makes the combo window more forgiving. It is ideal when your rhythm is decent but not perfect.

+5

Adds time to the round. This matters most when you are already converting time into clean scoring opportunities.

Splat

Enhances hit coverage and makes successful shots feel bigger. It does not replace accuracy, but it can make strong rounds feel more rewarding and readable.

When to chase a power-up and when to ignore it

  • Chase control boosts if your combo is under pressure.
  • Save your focus for scoring boosts if the pattern is already favorable.
  • Ignore risky pickups if getting them would break a clean streak.
  • In short rounds, immediate value often matters more than perfect setup.

Best power-up combinations

  • Slow or Freeze into x2 Score is excellent for stable point bursts.
  • Combo Saver plus Gold helps keep a run alive while improving the next few hits.
  • +5 becomes more meaningful when paired with a round that is already scoring well.
